SWCX League Round 3 – Saltash

This week saw the introduction of a new course at Saltash Community School. This proved to be an excellent venue with stunning views down the River Tamar towards Davenport Dockyards. The sun was out and the racing hard and fast. The course was excellent with some short but testy climbs, plenty of off camber, some tricky technical descents, a proper sandpit and plenty of fast flowing corners.

EWCC riders turned out on mass, with riders in nearly all categories and plenty of podiums to celebrate.

Tuesday Day Ride

Fancy getting out midweek and have the flexibility to spare a morning? Then then Tuesday day ride could be just for you.

Setting off from Piazza Terracina at 9.30am, the ride aims to explore the lesser ridden lanes around the local landscape, with each ride being unique. We’re never happier than when the group says ‘I’ve lived here for 20 year and never ridden this lane’, or ‘ where exactly are we?’.

Routes are published on Spond a day or two before the ride.

The pace is social. We enjoy the landscape, take in the views and have a good chat. We do go uphill, hard to avoid around here, but we’re not about collecting KoM’s.

Come and join us.
