From Exeter Wheelers Cycling Club
The Dawlish run occurs every Tuesday and Thursday and is a chance for riders to get an evening chain gang ride in.
We set off at 1830 sharp and usually get back around 1930
Speeds vary throughout the year, ranging from 18 mph average in the winter to a head spinning 24mph average at the height of the summer. Sometimes the summer rides are split into an A group and B group with the slower A group going a few minutes ahead of the chasing B group.
A map of the route is shown below with important points marked. (Meetup point, and over christmas we stop for a pint at The Ship Inn in Cockwood)
Note that the route is out and back, reasonably flat and about 22 miles long.
