Sunday Club Run Calendar updates

New rides published in the Sunday Club Run calendar see here for details

Saturday Race Training Rides

We are now operating a race training ride at 8am leaving from the Odeon. The same ride format will apply, however the length and type of rides will be discussed in advance on the FaceBook group

Sunday Club Ride Changes

We are now operating with a maximum group size of 20 riders due to popularity. If more riders turn out we will split the groups into mixed ability groups a few minutes apart so please listen to your ride leaders before setting off as they may ask you to depart in a particular group.

The club is now offering two sunday rides - while there is demand, we are operating a faster paced ride in addition to the standard Sunday ride. The main differences with this group are:

  • This group goes in front of the main club run as a faster paced steady race training ride for experienced riders.
  • It has a lower level of rider support.
  • It will follow (for at least the first 25miles) the published route. If riders find it unsuitable they can then drop back to the main run.
  • An additional mileage may be added on towards the end.

Club Clothing

As our Club Chairman Greg Rorke is currently being nursed back to health from injury there has been some difficulty obtaining clothing from the Bike Shed. In the interim period, if you need any items, you can call Jamie Howard on 07525 253064 and arrange to meet over lunch at the Bike Shed to collect and pay for your items.
